Modern sports cards have broad appeal, but are sometimes lacking in artistic flare. There is a growing movement within the hobby towards more bespoke sports art. Topps, the largest producer of collectable sports cards has even sought out artists to create custom cards for their Project 70 and Topps 100 sets. Custom cards, as art, has come into it's own.

Creating my own sports cards allow me to flex my creativity on a wide variety of subjects, in a wide variety of styles, and a wide variety of sports, all while practicing solid design principals: color, typography, image selection and style.
